Maxbet odds for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup
This year marks the 21st edition of the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup. South Korea hosts the tournament between May 20 and June 11 2017. This is the international youth football championship for a number of national teams of the member associations of FIFA.
Teams that have qualified
24 teams have qualified for the final phase of the tournament. Among them is South Korea, being the hosts, and the teams emerging from the different continental competitions as follows:
- AFC (Asia): South Korea, Iran, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam
- CAF (Africa): Guinea, Senegal, South Africa, Zambia
- CONCACAF (Central & North America – Caribbean): Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, United States
- CONMEBOL (South America): Argentina, Ecuador, Uruguay, Venezuela
- OFC (Oceania): New Zealand, Vanuatu
- UEFA (Europe): England, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal
Each team must initially declare a list of 35 players. Out of those, 21 players must be selected and submitted as the participants in the final no later than the deadline set by FIFA. On May 11 FIFA published the rosters of the teams that qualified.
At this time two of the four matches among the quarter-finals stand out. Venezuela playing against the U.S.A. and England facing Mexico. BET-IBC can guarrantee that all four teams will show their best. In fact it is our belief that the final winner will be one of them. Venezuela showed a fine form in South Korea. Three players have scored in every game: Adalberto Penaranda, Yeferson Soteldo and Ronaldo Pena. Furthermore, they have presented a solid defense. However, it will not be easy to defeat the U.S.A. The North Americans have better stats in almost all categories than the Venezuelans. What is expected by the experts, is that there will be a lot of goals scored in this match and it will be a treat for the fans.
England is, for some, the grand favorite for the title. They are undefeated with 4 wins and 2 draws during the tournament and they have managed to dismantle and actually disqualify one of the favorites for the title before the beginning of the final phase, Argentina. Mexico does not appear to be able to stand as a persuasive obstacle in their way. 3 wins, 2 losses and a draw is their record in the tournament. They may have managed to advance this far but their serious lack of offensive firepower will probably be their downfall.
For the quarter finals, the published Maxbet odds are rather impressive. Check them out here:
Of course, the other two quarter finals should not be forgotten. Uruguay is facing Portugal and Italy will have to go over the surprise of Zambia. Uruguay has shown resourcefulness and skill, while Italy relies heavily onm the attacking sprea of Ricardo Orsolini and Giuseppe Panico. Those two teams are expected to overrun their opponents and make it to the semi-finals.
