Since 1970 WSOP is held every year in Las Vegas. The winner of each event receives a World Series of Poker bracelet and a monetary prize based on the number of entrants and buy-in amounts.

The 2016 Main Event of World Series of Poker hosted the largest-ever WSOP in terms of competitors in the 47-year history of the event. A total of 107,833 players from 107 countries entered the 69 events on this summer’s WSOP schedule, generating a total prize pool of $221,211,336. The oldest player was William Wachter, a 95 year old man from Mahopac, New York, while the youngest player was a 21 years, 19 days old boy Evan House-Hull from Sandoval, Illinois, USA who survived Flight B with 92,300 in chips but wasn’t qualified to top 9.
