With five days of thrilling action set against the magnificent backdrop of the rolling Sussex countryside, The Qatar Goodwood Festival – or more popularly known as ‘Glorious Goodwood’ – is one of the highlights of the flat-racing season. Being one of the largest race meetings in the world, the Qatar Goodwood Festival is a show that has to be experienced in person to be enjoyed. The Goodwood Racecourse hosts the Glorious Goodwood meeting annually in late July and early August. This year the festival was held between 01.08 and 05.08. The program included the Molecomb and Lennox Stakes (held on Tuesday), the Vintage, Gordon and Sussex Stakes (held on Wednesday), the Richmond, Lillie Langtry Stakes and the Goodwood Cup (held on Thursday), to end the week with the Oak Tree, King George, Thoroughbred and Glorious Stakes (held on Friday).

Today’s race is called the Stewards’ Cup (Great Britain). With 27 runners competing, there is definitely value to be had in the bigger priced runners.
