2017/18 UEFA Europa League August calendar

The 47th season of the UEFA Europa League is up and running! It is the second European football club tournament organised by UEFA after Champions League and it’s the 9th season since it was renamed to Europa League from UEFA Cup. The Final will be hosted at the Olympique Lyonnais Park in Décines-Charpieu, France.

The winning team will automatically qualify for the 2018–19 UEFA Champions League group stage. In addition, they will earn the right to play against the winner of the 2017–18 UEFA Champions League in the 2018 UEFA Super Cup. This is the case this year with Manchester United, being the Europa League title holders, having automatically qualified for the 2017–18 UEFA Champions League. They will only be able to defend their title if they finish third in their group in the group stage and according to the early odds displayed on our VIP-IBC, they are certain to do this much, while it is a great possibility that they will advance further on CL’s stages all the way up to the round of 8 or the semi-finals.
