Accumulators featuring Asian Handicaps work just like regular accumulators.
- If all the selections win, the bet wins.
- If any of the selections lose, the bet loses.
If any of selections are push/void, the selections reduce appropriately.
- A five-selection accumulator where one bet pushes becomes a four-selection accumulator. The push is just forgotten about.
Half push/half void
The same principle applies to the half-push results in Asian Handicap betting. A full losing selection is always the end of an accumulator. But a half-lose isn’t the end, because the half-push keeps the accumulator alive, even though half the stake is lost. A half-win obviously keeps the accumulator alive as well, but only half the stake wins, the other half of the stake pushes.
Example: a $100 parlay that has six selections all at a price of 2.00.
The 1st selection wins – the stake is multiplied by the price, so the new stake carried over to the next fold is $100 x 2.00 = $200
The 2nd selection wins – the stake is multiplied by the price, so the new stake carried over to the next fold is $200 x 2.00 = $400
The 3rd selection pushes. Nothing happens, so the stake carried over to the next fold stays the same, $400.
The 4th selection is a half win. This means the stake, $400, is halved.
The first half, $200, is multiplied by the price and the new stake is carried over to the next fold. The second $200 pushes, and this is added to the next fold as well.
The stake is now $200 x 2.00 = $400 (half win) + $200 (half push) = $600
The 5th selection is a half lose, so the stake is halved again. $300 is lost, while the other $300 is carried over to the next fold.
The 6th selection is a win. The stake is multiplied by the price, to give final winnings credited to your account of $300 x 2.00 = $600
Further examples, order is important, which leg of the acca is void or half void matters:
Stake 1, prices: 2, 3, 4, 5 – outcomes: w, w, w, w/v – actual profit/loss: 71
Stake 1, prices: 2, 3, 4, 5 – outcomes: w, w, w/v, w – actual profit/loss: 74
Stake 1, prices: 2, 3, 4, 5 – outcomes: w, w/v, w, w – actual profit/loss: 79
Stake 1, prices: 2, 3, 4, 5 – outcomes: w/v, w, w, w – actual profit/loss: 89
