The strangest Turkish – Super League campaign ends this week. Başakşehir won the title for the first time in history, the big three (Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş) had historically bad seasons, and more importantly, coronavirus plagued the football as well. In the closing round, we have a couple of important games that will determine the faith of the teams at the bottom. One of these games will be played between Fenerbahçe and Çaykur Rizespor.
Having won 14 times, drawn 8 times, and lost 11 times, Fenerbahçe have gathered 50 points so far and they are occupying the 7th place in the league table. Before the season started, they were aiming for the title but instead, they have had another disappointing campaign. In the last round, they were defeated by their arch-rivals Beşiktaş on the road. Although I believe that their effort was note-worthy after Muriqi was sent off early in the game, they were again miserable when it came to converting the goal chances. This week they will be on the pitch without Muriqi. Jailson, Tolga Ciğerci, and Deniz Türüç are suspended as well. Furthermore, Sadık, Luiz Gustavo, Tolgay Arslan, and Mevlüt Erdinç are sidelined with injuries. In other words, half of the squad will be absent.
On the other side, we have Rizespor who only need 1 point to survive in the league. At the moment, they have 35 points, which means they are 3-point ahead of the 16th placed team. In fact, the 16th placed team is Yeni Malatyaspor who were beaten by Rizespor in the last round. We have seen that they are locked and loaded to survive and I believe they won’t be defeated by Fenerbahçe and risk getting relegated.
In my opinion, Çaykur Rizespor will defend in numbers and park the bus to get a safe draw instead of attacking from the get-go. They only need 1 point to escape relegation. My stake will be low here but the odds are high enough to ensure a good payout. If you are looking for the highest odds for this game, register for the best betting software. Good luck!
