The Goal

The Vision
The people that formed this movements try to :
- provide stray animals with a better quality of life through shelter, proper food and water, and medical care
- provide support for the people that dedicate themselves to the task of taking care of the animals
- raise the awareness of the general public on the subject, in order to increase the number of adoptions and the accumulation of the necessary funds
- help those who adopt cats and dogs learn how to better treat their pets
- reduce the number of stray animals through teaching people on spaying and neutering
Perhaps the most important aspect of what they do is to campaign towards persuading people to adopt animals instead of paying, sometimes great amounts under dubious circumstances, to buy their pets. The notion is that the offspring of animals bought and paid for, almost always end up as strays. Sometimes even those animals do, when the people that bought them, did not fully consider what it takes to take care of a pet. The Funding
As aforementioned, governmental agencies in most cases do not provide funding for such endeavors. Not to mention that there are countries that have no legislation protecting the animals whatsoever. So, it falls to each and every one to contribute to this worthy cause.
It doesn’t cost too much to feed a stray. Just 30 cents can provide food for an animal for a day. The donation goals are for 500 Euros which take care of the needs for a full month.
