Suwon Samsung Bluewings VS Busan I Park odds
Suwon Samsung Bluewings VS Busan I Park

Another week went by, and now it is time for us to make a new prediction. And this time we are going to focus on a match for the South Korean second division (K-League 2). The match will be between 3rd-placed Suwon Samsung Bluewings and 10th-placed Busan I Park. This game will take place on 31/03 at 07:30 GMT. And now that we know what we are doing, let’s take a look at the teams.

The Teams

Our Home team hare is the Suwon Samsung Bluewings. Suwon Samsung Bluewings is a South Korean football club founded in December 1995 by Samsung Electronics. The club has won the national championship four times and the Asian Club Championship twice, in 2000-01 and 2001-02. Suwon became the ninth member of the K League in 1996 and was the first club to be founded in one specific city. The club’s first season in the K-League was managed by former national team manager Kim Ho, who secured the championship in 1998 and retained it in 1999. Suwon won the Asian Club Championship twice in succession in 2000-01 and 2001-02 and added the Asian Super Cup twice. In 2002, Suwon won the Korean FA Cup for the first time, achieving a continental double.

Cha Bum-kun was appointed manager in 2003, and the club won its third league title in his debut season. In 2006, Suwon finished runners-up in both major domestic competitions but failed to win the first domestic double in South Korean football. The 2008 season was one of the most successful in the club’s history, with Suwon achieving a domestic double by winning the K League Championship and the League Cup. In 2023, the club was relegated to the second-tier K League 2 for the first time in its history.

The Busan I Park, formerly known as Daewoo Royals, is a South Korean football club that achieved notable success in the 1980s and 1990s. They won their first league title in 1984 and became continental champions in the 1985–86 Asian Club Championship. Despite their early achievements, the club’s performance declined in the late 1990s, resulting in a mid-table finish in 1998 and failure to qualify for the 1999 playoffs.

Pusan i.cons, a club owned by Daewoo Corporation, was closely linked to the success and health of its owner. In the early 2000s, IPark Construction acquired ownership of the club along with all its history and records. The club rarely competed for the title, often finishing mid-table or near the bottom of the league. In 2005, the company-owned club changed its name to Busan I’Park (now Busan IPark). Under Hwang Sun-hong, the club reached the 2005 K-League Championship play-offs but lost to an inspired Incheon United side led by Chang Woe-ryong. In 2019, Cho Deok-je implemented an attacking brand of football, leading Busan to finish as the top-scoring team in the division. The team faced Gyeongnam FC in a two-legged final and won 2–0, securing their return to Korea’s top division for the first time since 2015.

What’s next?

Now we must wait and see how our teams are doing and prepare a decision for our update. Right now the bluewings are in 3rd place with 6 points in 3 games, with 2 wins and a single loss, while the Busan I Park is down in 10th with one win and two losses.

Update

Now that things had some time to simmer, let’s take another good look at how our teams are doing so we can come up with a decision for this pick. Both teams played on Sunday, but for the Korean Cup, not the K-league 2, so their positions did not change all that much. Our home team, the Suwon Samsung Bluewings is still in 3rd place, while Busan I Park remains at 10th. However, in the Sunday matches, the Bluewings won by 2-1 against the Chuncheon FC, while the Busan I Park had a 0-0 draw against the Ulsan Citizen FC.

Overall we can say that the Bluewings have the advantage here since they are not only playing at home, but their morale is also better. However, what catches my attention is that 7 of the last 10 games from Busan I Park had at least 3 goals. So, my first choice here is Over 2.75 goals full time. As a fallback, a both to score bet may also be good. Do not lose any more time and open an account at the best betting platform right now so you cans ecure a place among the winners!
