England vs France

It would be a very interesting match if it was for football. However, it is for the Six Nations Rugby competition and it is even more interesting! The venue is Allianz Stadium Twickenham, the time is 16:45 GMT, and it will be the second match for both. England will have fought against the Irish, while Les Blues will have opened the ball against the Welsh.

The 2nd favorite against the 3rd

Actually, that’s not exactly correct. France and Ireland have equal chances to win the title according to the bookmakers with England following at a distance. Logically, Les Blues will have won over Wales. Therefore, a lot depends on the initial fight between the Lions and the Irish. If England have managed to win then it’s all upside down and this one may very well decide if it will be a 3-horse race.

However, based on the latest results between the two, it doesn’t seem likely even though the match played on Mar 16 was a very close 33-31 in favor of the visitors. The previous 2 had the hosts losing on both occasions. The three lions lost at home with a humiliating 53-10. However, they did win when they played in Paris by 25-13. That being said, it dates back to 2022 so it just may not mean much.

It pays a lot either way

The win of the home team is at @3.50, while the one for the visitors is at @2.63. We will focus on the 1X2 market for now as it makes no sense to look for other markets this early and after just one match. Given the outrights, we would have expected a rather greater margin between the two. Especially since England have lost five out of their six last matches, while France show the exact opposite record. However, those losses may actually become a blessing if the three lions have understood why they were defeated and have taken the time to make the necessary changes.

Update

Les Bleus rampaged over Wales with a massive 43-0, while England lost, more or less as expected, 27-22 to Ireland, on the opening matches of the Six Nations tournament. Which means that now the three lions have their backs to the wall. Another loss will scatter any chances they may have to do something good in this competition. However, the French also have a strong motive. A 2nd win will solidify their claim of the title.

Odds have dropped

The @3.50 last week, have now dropped to @2.94 for the hosts. Similarly, the initial @2.63 for the visitors, has dropped to @1.54. What the bookmakers say with this is that they consider it more than unlikely that England can win this one. The prices for handicaps do not really present any interest as the +5.5 would pay at @1.99 for the lions and @1.98 for Les Beus.

The only market that makes some sense but does also include a fair amount of risk is the under 46.5 points which pays at @1.99. We do not believe that France will have their way again to score as freely as they did with Wales. Consequently, we also do not believe that England can breach their opponents’ defense to score even as many as the 22 points they did against the Irish.

Now that we have made our recommendation for this one, it’s your turn to open an account at the best betting platform and take a justifiable risk for a nice return of your investment on this confrontation.
