Summary of Tipster's comments

At the Dome at America’s Center in St Louis, at 1:00 GMT on May 03, it will be one of the last chances for the home side to make it to the top four of the league standings. The visitors are leading the XFL division and, in all likelihood, they have written the next stage in stone. As a matter of fact, only the Battlehawks may have a chance of making any position in the top 4.

The incentive with the hosts

The discussion is about Round 6. So far, the Battlehawks have 2 wins, 2 losses, 0.500 PCT, 87 for, 72 against and a 1-1 record at home. The respective numbers for the Renegades, 3 victories, one defeat, 0.750 PCT, 83 points in favor, 43 against and a 0-1 record on the road.

Translation: we have a team that has not won away from their own home ground, a team that has not been convincing about winning on theirs, similar offenses, but a lot better defense for the visitors. A win for the home side will take them both to an equal standing and almost identical achievements for the season. A win for the visitors will probably mean that the Renegades will secure their spot for the playoffs. However, it does not automatically mean that the Battlehawks will miss their chance. It just means that their fate will be handed over to the results of other teams.

Not yet time to speak of the odds

Since we are talking about the playoff stage, the in-between matches that both teams are going to play are the most critical ones. The Renagades face their worst adversary this season, the Defenders. A loss would mean that the match against the Battlehawks will become a must win. Similary, St Louis play against the leaders of the USFL division, Michigan Panthers. Probably the only team of that division that can threaten the leaders of the XFL division that have the best records.

While you are waiting for us to review those two matches, along with the total situation that will result in the UFL standings next week.

Update

The Renegades are no longer leading the XFL division after their defeat by DC Defenders by 37-33. Actually, they are now 3rd, since the Battlehawks defeated Michigan Panthers by 32-27 and went above, now standing on 2nd place. Which translates to whichever team emerges victorious from the field on May 03, will qualify for the playoffs. Further translation, they will both come out all guns blazing.

Do or die then

Now, we have two teams with a record of 3 wins and 2 losses, PCT 0.6 and a differential of +20 for the hosts and +36 for the visitors. Given that the league leaders DC Defenders have to play a match against the USF leaders Michigan Panthers, should they lose, then whichever side wins the confrontation at St Louis, will be tied for 1st. And that’s as solid of a motive as we can think of.

At this time, we have @2,27 for the Renegades and @1.64 for the Battlehawks. We completely disagree with the assessment that Arlington stand more of a chance of winning. Their backs are on the wall and their morale is lower after the loss at Washington. Not to mention that in both previous matches at the Dome, St Louis walked out victorious by 27-24 and 24-11. And this will be the basis of our recommendation to those who will open an account at the best betting platform. A wager for the victory of St Louis Battlehawks.
