Hello again everyone! We are back with another tip, this time for the Scottish league one. The match will happen on the 27th of January at 15:00 GMT. The Falkirk are the leaders right now while the Alloa is down in 5th place. Still, everything can happen in the world of sports so let’s keep our eyes on this match to see how we can best profit with our bets. And as always the 1st thing we will do is take a look at each side. This way we know who we are dealing with. So, with no further ado, here we go:
The sides
First we have the home team, Alloa. Alloa Athletic Football Club, a Scottish association football semi-professional club, was formed in 1878 as Clackmannan County and later changed its name to Alloa Association in 1883. The club competes in Scottish League One and was elected to the second tier of the Scottish Football League in 1921–22. Despite finishing runners-up in the third tier nine times without winning, Alloa Athletic has achieved success in the Scottish Cup, reaching the quarter-finals on three occasions and the final of the Scottish Challenge Cup thrice. The club’s nickname, ‘The Wasps’, refers to its home colours of black and gold hoops. Alloa Athletic has been based at Recreation Park in Alloa since 1895.
And now, we take a look at the other side of the field.
Falkirk Football Club, a Scottish professional association football club, was founded in 1876 and competes in Scottish League One, the third tier of Scottish football. The club has won the Scottish Cup seven times, sharing the honour with St Johnstone. Falkirk has played at three venues: Hope Street, Randyford Park, and Blinkbonny Park. Between 1885 and 2003, the club was based at Brockville Park, built on the former Hope Street ground. However, after the creation of the SPL in 1998, its strict stadium criteria were enforced, and the club was denied promotion on three occasions. The club’s present home ground since 2004 is the Falkirk Stadium, a 7,937 all-seater stadium on the outskirts of Falkirk. The club has been a part of the Scottish Professional Football League since its inception in 1876. The club’s success in the Scottish League One and the UEFA Europa League is a testament to its commitment to excellence and competition.
The Stats
The home team is at 5th place right now with 26 points in 19 matches played. They have a balanced 7 wins, 5 draws, and 7 losses. Also, they have 25 goals scored and 28 suffered, another balanced stat. An “average” team overall. The visitors, on the other hand, are at the top of the table. They have 53 points in 21 games, 16 wins, 5 draws, and 0 losses. Plus a respectable 51 goals scored and 13 suffered.
Update
Last week I checked this match and we had the home team at 5th place and the visitors at the top of the table. Well, nothing changed on that front until now, so not much to comment there. That means we need to look elsewhere to get started on making a good decision here.
Now, looking at the last matches for both teams, both ended in a draw. For Alloa, a 1-1 draw against 7th placed QoS, and for Falkirk a 2-2 draw against 10th and last placed Edinburgh (make of that what you will).
Stats wise, the visitors are still the clear favorites here, and still undefeated so far, with a great attack and defense. And, reflecting that, the odds for a 1×2 bet are less than ideal for us at the moment, so we will take our money in another directions.
After taking a good look at the stats for both teams recent performances, we can see a good number of goals on both sides. Considering this, I decided to go for a Over/Under bet. More specifically, a Under 3 goals total bet, which has good odds. A Asian Handicap for the visitors, so keep an eye on that option as well.
