We are back again with another prediction for BET-IBC. For this week, our match is Beijing Guoan vs Qingdao West for the Chinese Super League. Now, before anything else, we will take a look at our teams and see what we can grasp about their data.
Beijing Guoan vs Qingdao: The Home Team
Beijing Guoan Football Club, also known as Beijing FC, is our home team. The club’s home matches happen at the Workers’ Stadium in Chaoyang District. In addition, Beijing Guoan is one of the four clubs that have never been relegated from the Chinese top flight since the league’s foundation in 2004. In 1992, the club became a completely professional football club, becoming one of the founding members of the first fully professional top-tier league in China. Since then, Beijing Guoan has won their first professional league title in the 2009 league season and the 1996, 1997, 2003, and 2018 Chinese FA Cup.
Right now, they occupy the 5th position in the league’s table, with 8 points in 5 games played. In addition, they have 2 wins, 2 draws, and a single loss, with 6 goals scored and 4 suffered. It is worth noting that they have a history of doing better playing away than home. Finally, they are coming to this match from a defeat against 8th-placed Shenzhen City.
Beijing Guoan vs Qingdao: The Visitors
Qingdao Kangtaiyuan F.C. was established in 2007 as a company football team for employees. Initially, they participated in local amateur and futsal tournaments until the 2011 league season when they participated in the Qingdao Football Association Cup. The following season, they joined the Chinese football league pyramid in the second tier of the Qingdao League.
In 2019, they changed their name to Qingdao Zhongchuang Hengtai. After being eliminated in the group stage play-offs, they were admitted into the national stage and finished 8th. In January 2021, they changed their name to Qingdao Youth Island. They finished 4th this season and entered the promotion-relegation play-offs against Beijing BIT, who finished 17th in the 2021 China League One. Qingdao won 5-4 on penalties, gaining promotion to China League One for the first time in the club’s history.
Right now, they are in 9th at the league’s table, with 7 points in 5 games played. In addition, they have 2 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses, with 5 goals scored and 7 suffered. They tend to do slightly better when playing away than at home.
Beijing Guoan vs Qingdao: The Verdict
For now, we have to wait and see what will happen during the week. But for this preview, we can say this match will be a close one for sure. So, stay tuned because we will be back soon with our pick.
Update
Hello again everyone. When we left our preview last week Beijing Guoan was in 5th position in the league’s table, while our visitors, Qingdao West Coast, were occupying the 9th position. A week has passed and nothing changed in that perspective, despite both teams having played matches on 13/04 and 14/04 respectively.
As for the results of the matches in question, they are like so: The Guoan had a 1-1 draw against 1st placed Shanghai Shenhua, somewhat recovering after their loss against Shenzhen City. Plus a draw against the leaders is not bad at all for a team in the 5th position. The Qingdao West Coast on the other hand had a 3-2 loss against the 4th placed Cangzhou Mighty Lions. Marking their 2nd loss in a row.
For our pick, it was a togh choice to make, but after analysing the above plus what we gathered last week, our final decision here is to go for a bet on Over 2.75 goals full time. An Asian handicap for the home team may be a good second choice. Make sure you open an account at the best betting platform if you want to follow this pick. Best wishes and see you next time.
