Wales vs Switzerland – EURO 2021

The Welsh and Swiss national teams will meet in the second match of Euro 2020/21. Group A second day will be held at the famous Bakı Olimpiya Stadionu in Baku on June 12, 2021, home of the Azerbaijan national football team.

The Welsh team need to improve their record against Switzerland if they are to get off to a positive start to UEFA EURO 2020, although they did win in the teams’ last meeting. Switzerland have won five of seven matches, with each team registering a home win the last time they met, in qualifying for UEFA EURO 2012.

Both teams made it to the round of 16 at UEFA EURO 2016. While the Swiss retired in the round of 16, the Welsh made it to the semi-finals before falling to eventual champions Portugal.

A 2-0 win at Swansea in qualifying for EURO 2012 was Wales’ first win against Switzerland since May 1951 when they won 3-2 in a friendly at Wrexham. Switzerland have won the other four games between the two countries, all without conceding a goal, in qualifying for UEFA EURO 2000.

Now, BET-IBC Tipster Team presents free predictions for the match:

Duarte: They are two teams that privilege defensive capacity and for that reason I foresee few goals in this game. In my opinion, the team that scores a goal will close and hold the result. As I said, So we will go under 0.75 in the first half.

Realtu: Once again, this is a match that will be very close and disputed, but checking the overall performance of both teams I do believe Switzerland has a slightly better chance of taking the win here.

Portugal Tipster: Wales is the weakest link in this group. Bale is the star of the team but an irregular player. Switzerland has 5 wins in the last 5 matches. Although Wales reached the semi-finals at the last European, I believe they won’t go far in this one. I see Switzerland stronger collectively.

Igor Tips: I don’t see a bright future for Wales after all the struggle they had to qualify to this tournament in a group with a low level. Switzerland might not be the best from Europe, but they have reached the final stages consequently.

GC Sports Betting: I’m trying my luck with this one considering the previous 4 head to heads have seen at least 2 goals scored. Here I fancy a low scoring game with 6 of Wales previous 9 matches seeing 1 goal or less. A tightly contested match can be expected.

Kvasir: Here we have an unexperienced team, being this Wales second participation, against a very experienced one. Switzerland didn’t not show much strength during the qualification; so, I think this will be an even match, so I’m going with the underdog here.

Asian Football Bets: All head-to-head clashes between Wales and Switzerland have seen at least 2 goals netted. I strongly suppose we’ll see at least 2 goals in this match as well, based on the historical statistics.

Sherbet: Wales and Switzerland need to win this match as they are the two weakest teams in Group A. If they want to have any chance of qualifying for the playoffs, they will be obliged to start the competition with three points.

Mattybet: Switzerland and Wales will have an interesting match on date 2. On the one hand, the Bale-led Welsh team has come up with good results, except for their last friendly match against France. And on the other hand, Switzerland has an excellent scoring streak. So, for sure, both will score.

Lady Murasaki: Switzerland has Xherdan Shaqiri and Granit Xhaka, legendary players. And in general, it´s a great selection with players who know each other well. In the last four H2H the scores were 2-0, 4-1, 0-2, and 2-0, so we can expect a game with goals.

Riskyme: Wales got the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Gareth Bale, and Daniel James who will provide the attacking prowess needed in this game but this Swiss side conceded just six in eight games in a group with contained the likes of Denmark and Rep. Ireland. I am expecting a very defensive approach to this game for Vladimir Petkovics’ men so I am backing under 2.5 total goals.

No Man: Given Wales’ recent performance and struggles to qualify for the competition, I see a better value betting on Switzerland, who have won all their 5 previous games.

TheTrollmanSha: Wales did 2 friendlies matches in the last 2 matches played. They did a bad draw 0-0 against Albania and a defeat 3-0 against France, and so I don’t see them well. Switzerland are in good shape, and they did 7 wins in the last 7 matches played. Draw is not impossible, and so I pick the Switzerland Asian Handicap 0 Full Time.

Tipster BetF: Wales had disappointing results in the last matches. They are a squad composed mostly of English league players, so they don’t bring a diversified football. Switzerland are clinical in front of goals, scoring 16 goals in the last 5 matches. Their young talent will try to prove themselves in the group stage.

Mitch: The Swiss, who have done well in the qualification phase, will face a Welsh team that has struggled to get there. An element to take into account in this match is the very solid defense of both teams. I see a match with less than 2.5 goals.

Lorysan: In the second match of Euro, two teams, in my opinion, are equal. They occupy 13th and 17th places in the rating of the national teams. I think that in this match the national team of Wales will not lose and perhaps win this match. Perhaps we will see here 2-0, 0-0, 1-1.

LLYTips: Both teams are strong, and have a good defensive tactics, which is why it’s pretty hard to predict the exact result of this game. I am pretty sure that the game will be intense and satisfying for everyone, so I am expecting a good show from them. My pick goes for over handicap this time.

Salahsyh: Wales have not won in the friendly 2 friendly games. I expect them to be so different in the Euro. Switzerland is a tough side to beat but I expect the pace of Bale and James to win the game for Wales.
