1) Genk’s performance this season has been nothing but remarkable. The team looks very balance and currently shows little or no signs of weakness. The last time they lost a game was in July. Ever since then, they have been on a winning spree, with the only obstruction being a draw against St. Truiden recorded on the 3th of September. From where they stand, Mechelen could hardly be considered one of their threats.
2) Mechelen, though a very promising squad remains one of the most struggling teams within the league. Their present form is not all that impressive. It is highly characterized by a series of draws and losses. What is certain at the moment is that the days ahead might not be so friendly for them. This is supported by the fact that their last three games have all ended in losses. And for a team preparing to meet the league’s finest, this could only mean more trouble for them.
