UEFA EURO 2024
The European Football Championship (most people just call it «Euro»), is the second most prestigious international competition of the sport after the World Cup. 2024’s edition is the 17th and will gather the best footballers of the continent in Germany from June 14th to July 14th. After 51 matches, the new Champions of Europe will receive their crown at the end of the Final. Ostensibly new, as, according to all indications, the current holders of the title, Italy, will probably not be able to defend it.
BET-IBC will be there to cover each match, along with all the circumstances surrounding the championship. Our incredible professional team of tipsters will be ready with the best predictions and analyses. In addition to the highest odds and limits, our betting tools and the rest of the online services that we place at your fingertips, you will have everything you need to make the most out of this tournament.
A Time Lapse Through Time
While Henri Delaunay’s idea dates as far back as 1927 for the conception, it wasn’t until 1956 and the European Nations Cup that the decision for such a competition was made. It took another 4 years before the first ever tournament of the kind, actually got organized. Eventually, the group stage was added in 1968 and the competition became the European Nations Championship. Every 4 years, 2 years after the last World Cup, UEFA organizes its new edition. And 2024 is the time for the 17th.
The previous one was held in England in 2021 instead of 2020 due to the corona virus pandemic. The hosts faced Italy at the final held at the most historic of venues: the Wembley Stadium. In regulation and overtime, the result was a 1-1 draw. At the end, the Italians won 3-2 at the penalty shootout to win the trophy.
Historically, the Holders of the Trophies Are:
- Germany and Spain, 3 titles each.
- Italy and France, 2 titles each.
- Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Netherlands, Denmark, Greece and Portugal, 1 title each.
