Betting Types

BETTING OPTIONS

Moneyline

Moneyline betting is wagering on a competitor or a team to defeat another in an event or to be placed higher in an event match-up. Different Moneyline rules set out for specific events. 

Mix Parlays

Mix Parlay betting is a combination of at least two selections placed as one wager. The bet wins if all sections win and payment done according to the combined odds of both selections. If one (or more) selections fail to win, then the whole Parlay bet loses.

Odd/Even

Odd/Even bets are placed on the total number of points (goals, games etc.) in the final results being odd or even numbers. 

Outright

Outright betting indicates wagering on the winner of a specific event (race, game, tournament). This Outright place means betting on competitors that fill the designated places in a specific event (race, game tournament). The number of places paid as winners are indicated in the Market title. 

Handicap

Handicap indicates wagering when one competitor/team receives a virtual head start. The winner is the team/competitor with the better score, after adding the given handicap to the final result. For a detailed explanation of asian handicap betting, please refer to our Asian Handicap section. 

Over/Under

Over/Under bets are determined by the total number of points (goals, games etc.) in the event’s final result. If the total amount of points exceeds the Over/Under pre-designated line, then the result is Over. Similarly when the number of points is smaller, the winning result is Under. 

 

Soccer (Football) Betting Types
MAXBET provides a wide spectrum of bets that can be placed on soccer (football). In this section you will find available soccer betting options and their short descriptions.
1 × 2 – 1 × 2 indicates betting on one of the three possible outcomes of a single event. Also, 1 refers to the team named first (generally the home team). X indicates the game resulting in a draw. 2 refers to the team named second (generally the away team). 
 
A Correct Score – Correct Score bets are made on the final score at the end of full-time. This type of bets can be considered as one of the best betting strategies as of today, as it’s commonly used by a vast majority of punters. 
 
A Total Goal – Total Goal bets are made on the total sum of goals scored in an event. 
 
Half-time/Full-time (HT.FT) – This kind of betting means wagering on both the half-time and full-time result of a specific event (extra time doesn’t count). H refers to the first named team (generally the home team). D indicates draw and A refers to the second name team (generally the away team). For instance, AH means that the second named team (Away) will be leading at half time, but the first named team (Home) will be leading at full-time. 
 
First Goal/Last Goal – First/Last Goal bets are made on which team will score the first or last goal in a particular match. HF indicates the first named team (Home) scoring the first goal, while HL refers to the first team scoring the last goal. Accordingly, AF means the second (Away) team scores the first goal, and AL means the 2nd team scores the last goal. NG indicates no goals scored during the match. 
 
Which Team to Kick-Off – Bets made on which team will kick-off the particular event. 
 
Home Team Total vs. Away Team Total – These are bets made on the total number of goals scored by the home teams versus the total number of goals scored by the away teams for matches in particular league on a certain day. 
 
Single Team Over/Under – Indicates goals scored by a specified team in a particular match. In case the total is exceeds the OU line ,then the winning result is Ove. If the total is less than the OU line then the winning result is Under. 
 
Corners 
  • Number of Corners – Handicap. – Betting on which team will take the most corners during a particular match inclusive of any handicaps.
  • Number of Corners – Over/Under – These are bets on the total number of corners taken by both teams during a match. If the total exceeds the OU line then the winning result is Over.  When the total is less than the OU line then the winning result is Under.
  • First Corner – Bets made on a team that will take the first corner in a match.
  • Last Corner – A Bet made on a team that will take the last corner in a match.

Total Bookings – Bets made on a number of cards received by a team. A yellow card counts as one point, while a red card counts as two. The maximum number of points that a player can receive during a single match equals three.

  • Number of Total Bookings. – Handicap – Betting on which team will receive the most cards during a particular match, inclusive of any handicaps.
  • Number of Total Bookings – Over/Under – Implies betting on the total number of cards received by both teams during a match. If the total exceeds the OU line then the winning result is Over. Then if the total is less than the OU line then the winning result is Under.
  • First Booking – Bets made on which team will receive the first booking (yellow or red card) in a match.
  • Last Booking – Implies betting made on which team will receive the last booking (yellow or red card) in a  match.

Offsides

  • Number of Offside – Handicap. – Betting on which team will make offside the most number of times during a particular match. Inclusive of any handicaps.
  • Over/Under – Betting on the total number of offside decisions in a specific match.
  • First Offside – Implies betting on the team that will make offside first in a specific match.
  • Last Offside – Betting on the team that will make offside last in a specific match.

Substitutions

  • Number of Substitution. – Handicap – Betting on which team will make the most substitutions during a match, inclusive of any handicaps.
  • Number of Substitution – Over/Under – To bet on the total number of substitutions during a specific match.
  • First Substitution – Betting on which team will make the first substitution during a specific match.
  • Last Substitution – Implies betting on which team will make the last substitution during a specific match.

Clean Sheets – To Bet on a team to keep a clean sheet during a specific match (not to concede a goal).

 

Penalties – Betting on a penalty being awarded and taken during a match. 
 
Penalty Shoot-outs – These are bets on which team will win the penalty shootout. In handicap betting the result includes all penalties taken in the shoot-out, including sudden death. With over/under betting the result only includes the regulation ten penalties in the shoot-out and sudden death excluded. 
 
Fantasy League – Bets on pairings of teams from different matches. 
 
15-Minute Over/Under (OU) – These are bets that is determined by the total number of points (goals, corners, games, cards etc.) at the end of every 15th minute of a given match. 
 
Free Kick – Implies betting on both direct free kicks and indirect free kicks.
  • Number of Free Kicks – Handicap – Betting on which team will take the most free kicks during a specific match, inclusive of any handicaps.
  • The Number of Free Kicks – Over/Under – These are bets on the total number of free kicks taken by both teams during a specific match.
  • First Free Kick – Betting on which team will take the first free kick in a specific match.
  • Last Free Kick – Implies betting on which team will take the last free kick in a specific match.

Goal Kick 

  • Number of Goal Kicks – Handicap – Implies which team will take the most goal kicks during a match, inclusive of any handicaps.
  • The Number of Goal Kicks – Over/Under – Implies betting on the total number of goal kicks taken by both teams during a specific match.
  • First Goal Kick – Betting on which team will take the first goal kick in a specific match.
  • Last Goal Kick – Which team will take the last goal kick in a specific match.

Throw-in

  • Number of Throw-ins – Handicap – Betting on which team will take the most throw ins during a specific match, inclusive of any handicaps.
  • The Number of Throw-ins – Over/Under – Betting on the total number of throw-ins taken by both teams during a specific match.
  • First Throw-in – Betting on which team will take the first throw-in in a given match.
  • Last Throw-in – Bets on which team will take the last throw-in in a given match.

10 Minutes Over/Under (OU) – Betting that is determined by the total number of points (goals, corners, games, cards etc.) at the end of every 10h minute of a given match. 

 

Top Goal Scorer

  • The Top Goal Scorer – Outright
  • Players Head to Head Tournament Top Goal Scorer
  • The Players Head to Head Match Top Goal Scorer

Injury Time Awarded at the End of 2nd Half – Ranging from none to 6+ minutes. 

 

Double Chance 1 or X – If the result is either a home or draw, then bets on this option are winning. 

 

X or 2 – When the result is either a draw or away, then bets on this option are winning. 

 

1 or 2 – IF the result is either a home or away, then bets on this option are winning. 

 

A Draw no bet – Betting on the team to win the match, bet is refunded if the result is a draw. 

 

Both/One/Neither to Score – Bets on both/one or neither team to score. 

 

TO WIN TO NIL – Betting on the team winning a match without conceding a goal after regular time or at the end of that scheduled, excluding extra time or penalty shoot-outs. 

 

WIN EITHER HALF – Betting on the team to score more goals than their opponent in either one of two halves. 

 

TO WIN BOTH HALVES – Bets on the team to score more goals than their opponent in both two halves.
